What to Expect When You Use the Pantry
The Norwalk Area Food Pantry offers a drive-thru service for your convenience.
📅 Open Hours: Thursdays: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
When You Visit:
Bring a Picture ID: Ensure it includes your current address. (We serve residents of Northern Warren County.)
Receive Your Food: Visitors will receive 2-3 pre-filled bags of food, along with meat and milk when available.
Guests are also offered a choice of other items to meet their needs.
If you cannot come during open hours, call the church office at 515-285-5965 to arrange an alternate time or use the email form below.

This ministry is a partnership of the Norwalk Area Ministerial Association, hosted by New Life Lutheran Church, and relies on the generosity of local businesses, organizations, and individuals.

The Norwalk Area Food Pantry serves individuals and families in Northern Warren County who are experiencing food insecurity.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Usage: Clients may visit the food pantry up to three times a month.
- Requirements: Proof of residency is required; however, proof of income is not necessary.
- Commitment to Respect: Every visitor is treated with dignity and respect.
- Food Provided: Guests receive several days' worth of food, including meat, fresh produce, and, as available, perishable items.
- For Kids: Children and youth receive a special kid’s bag filled with snacks and, sometimes, personal hygiene products.
- Emergency Pantry: Available 24/7 outside the food pantry entrance for emergency needs.

- Distribution Nights: Help distribute food on Thursdays from 2:00 – 7:00 PM.
- Throughout the Week: Assist with sorting, stocking, organizing, and cleaning.

Community donations are always appreciated! You can drop off items at the Food Pantry during its operating hours on Thursdays, or at the New Life Lutheran Church Office from Tuesday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
