New Life Lutheran Church
A Community of Faith, Inclusion, Family, and Grace
At New Life, we’re more than a congregation—we’re a vibrant, welcoming community where everyone can find belonging and purpose. “So we, who are many, are one body in Christ…” —Romans 12:5

Inclusion |
is central to who we are. We open our doors and our hearts to all people, reflecting the beautiful diversity of God’s creation. Everyone is welcome at the Lord’s table—sinner and saint alike.
|
“There is no distinction… the same Lord is Lord of all.” —Romans 10:12
Family |
is woven into our identity. We celebrate the presence of children and support families in growing together in faith.
|
“Let the little children come to me…” —Matthew 19:14
Grace |
leads everything we do. We strive to reflect God's unconditional love and forgiveness in all our actions, especially in times of challenge.

“By grace you have been saved through faith…” —Ephesians 2:8
Our History
New Life began with a few faithful card players at Echo Valley Country Club who felt called to plant a church in the growing Lakewood Township. With support from the American Lutheran Church, our first parish worker visited over 1,600 homes, identifying 100 families ready to build something new.
We officially organized on June 20, 1971. Early worship took place at Echo Valley, in homes, and at Norwalk High School. Our first Vacation Bible School welcomed 47 children. The building was dedicated in 1973, with expansions in 1985 and 1996 to support our growing ministries.
For nearly 20 years, we’ve hosted the Norwalk Area Food Pantry, living out Jesus’ call to “feed the hungry” (Matthew 25).
Join us as we continue to grow in faith, live in grace, and serve with love.
